Our lesson today is about an important kind of pronouns in English which used to link the descriptive sentence to the prescribed noun that is, it goes back to the described noun in the second sentence. In this article we will recognize these pronouns ( which – who – whom – whose ) and also review the use of both with several examples.

When we use relative pronouns in English ?

☑ The girl who lives in the next door is very kind .

☑ The house which is very unique is ours.
Use ( Which – who – whom – whose )
1-

him ) and this pronoun used for a sane noun both singular or plural as

☑ Are these women whom you saw last Friday .
- This is the girl whom your mother told you about .
- Whom did they play tennis ?
- Maria is the girl with whom I am going to the party .
- Samir don't care whom you married .
3-
( Which )
This
pronoun is used as a subject or object for things and animals so, it used for
non- sane singular and also plural for examples :
⇛ The dress is mine . ⇛ It is red .
☑ The dress which is red is mine .
⇛ That huge building. ⇛ it is a modern building .

4-

for example:

- That is the family whose daughter is a dancer .
- They are the students whose pens were at the laboratory .
- He is Ali whose sister is Salma .
