Hi my friends ! welcome back, We will learn today to form sentences using “either” and “neither”.
Enjoy the lesson!
learn: Simple future tense
1. Either:
- Meaning: "Either" refers to one or the other of two things, but not both.
- Usage:
🔹 Affirmative Sentences: "Either" is used when you are presenting two choices and you are saying one of them is true or possible .
Example: "Either you can go to the supermarket or you can stay home."
🔹 Negative Sentences (with 'or'): "Either" is used in negative constructions to show that neither option is true .
Example: "I don’t like either of those options."
2. Neither:
- Meaning: "Neither" means "not either of the two," or it denies both options.
- Usage:
🔹 Negative Sentences: "Neither" is used to express that none of the two options are true .
Example: "Neither the vintage dress nor the princess one fits me."
🔹 Affirmative Sentences: It is also used to agree with a negative statement.
Example: "I don't want to go outside." Neither do I " .
Key Differences:
