What the sentence consist of in English?
First
of all and above all, we need to know a very important information that we
might noticed that the sentence of Arabic is divided into Two types: a noun
clause and a verbal clause unlike the sentence in English that is only a
verbal, and we will understand this more than examples.
As
mentioned earlier, the sentence in English is only one type, which is the
verbal clause because any noun clause if it translated into English then we
need to use ( verb to be ) as an auxiliary in the sentence for example:
- Dina is a beautiful woman.
And now, we will get know the basic elements of the sentence in English and we will explain every element of them at length.
The basic elements of the sentence in English
First – The subject
The
versatility and diversity of the subject form in English , it can come in form
of:
- Noun either it is the name of human, animal , mineral even a plant such as:
Ali – The couch – the rabbit – the palm
For
example:
- The rabbit runs fast.
- The palm is too long.
- Ali closed the door.
Sometimes
also the subject comes in the form of pronoun which replace the noun in the
sentence such as:
(
I – he – she – it – they – he – she – they –you )
For
example:
- They meet the Minster of Environment .
Second – The verb
The
verb is the second element of the composition of the sentence in English but
the verb here is characterized by several different forms depending of the
tense of the sentence, as we have explained before.
An
example is the original verb, which is used to form a sentence.
(
Study – play – walk – put – open )
For
example:
- My friends put the present in this box .
Third – The object
The
object comes in to the sentence to give more information so that it is true and
correct that it is complement to the sentence .
For
examples:
- Hana plays tennis .
- My brothers watch the match .
It
doesn't have to be noun , but it can come in the form of adjective of time as
in the following example:
- The company is there.
It
also can comes as adjective for example:
- The pizza is delicious.
And so we can conclude that the sentence in English has either a main verb or an auxiliary verb, so it always becomes an a verbal clause and there is no room for a noun clause as in Arabic.
